Minority Greek Leadership Conference

Howdy from Aggieland!

Texas A&M University hosts one of the largest Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) in the nation, consisting of fifteen active member organizations; as well as seven of the nine organizations in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). These sororities and fraternities range from African-American, Latino, Asian and South-Asian based organizations to non-culturally based organizations. NPHC and MGC play an intricate role in offering cultural diversity and strive to increase the diversity of the student body and exemplify the spirit of unity across cultural barriers.

On February 5-8 2009, MGC and NPHC will be kicking off their annual Minority Greek Leadership Conference entitled “Conquering Obstacles by Cultivating and Unifying Leaders”. The purpose of the Minority Greek Leadership Conference is to unite minority Greek students in an effort to promote organizational success. MGLC provides innovative ideas and opportunities to network and establish fraternal bonds in order to create a dynamic and thriving Greek community.

The conference promises to exemplify the goals and aims of NPHC and MGC. Due to the unique nature of our conference we strive to provide topics that cater specifically to the Minority Greek community; this includes diverse discussions, keynote speakers and workshops. MGLC will strive to enlighten and inspire our goals as leaders in our communities, and also nourish existing or create new leadership programming for ethnic minority Greek organizations.
