The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the coordinating body of 17 fraternal organizations (8 fraternities & 9 sororities with cultural foundations). The council is comprised of an Executive Board.  Each chapter is represented at the General Council Meetings by one or two delegates. MGC provides support and services to underrepresented students while representing Greek Life to the University and the Bryan/College Station community.

In 1998, a group of several culturally based fraternities and sororities came together to form the Multicultural Pan-Hellenic Alliance (MCPA).  The intent of MCPA was to begin planning the formation of a new council specifically for culturally based fraternal organizations.  In 1999, 9 of the original 12 groups officially formed what is today known as the Multicultural Greek Council.  The original founding chapters of MGC were Beta Tau Omega Fraternity, Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority, Inc., Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc., Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc., Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc., Rho Delta Chi Sorority, Inc., Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., and Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc.
